Who We Are

Purchase College , studying with compostion greats Joel Thome, Joe Ferry, and Jim McElwaine, and Bachelor of Science Degree in Music Performance and Mathematics from  Greensboro CollegeAt Greensboro College, Jim's mentor was the great jazz guitarist Greg Hyslop.  Jim is a June, 2008 graduate of the Institute of Therapeutic Massage in Pompton Lakes, NJ.

Currently, Jim plays bass for the original band Hudson Rail Company and guitar for the premier No Doubt tribute band, Excuse Me, and is furiously writing The Pain-Free Musician book.

Julie Donnelly, LMT is an internationally recognized authority on repetitive stress conditions (RSI) and their treatment. She is the author of five books on the subject of chronic pain treatment and is often called on as an expert for print articles and radio talk shows devoted to health.  In addition, she appears regularly as a guest lecturer on RSI treatment for professional and business audiences.

Ms. Donnelly is the co-founder of the Carpal Tunnel Treatment Center,  an organization devoted to developing treatments  for repetitive stress injuries.  Her focus has been on the treatment of severe pain, especially chronic joint pain and sports injuries. She works extensively with elite athletes and patients who have been unsuccessful at finding relief through conventional therapies.

Donnelly's constant work relieving the pain of others led to a severe case of carpal tunnel syndrome that threatened the end of her career in 1996. Using her clinical experience with trigger points and muscle treatment , Ms. Donnelly developed a self-treatment technique, the Julstro self-treatment system, that successfully relieved her condition. In response to the growing interest in the Julstro™ system,  Donnelly and Dr. Zev Cohen established the Carpal Tunnel Treatment Center and developed the Julstro™ Self -Treatment Kit, designed as a way for millions of Americans to personally utilize the technique's unique healing power.

Ms. Donnelly has also authored several books, including the book "How To Be Pain-less... A Beginner's Guide to the Self-Treatment of Muscle Spasms" and the "Pain-Free Triathlete." .She has co-authored a series of books with Zev Cohen, M.D., including "The Pain-Free Runner," as well as a series of articles on the treatment of RSI conditions, including carpal tunnel syndrome. With the continuing increase in RSI conditions, and concerns about our health care system's response, Ms. Donnelly has become an important authority on both the causes of common RSI conditions and their effective self-treatments as well as conferences geared to treating chronic pain and carpal tunnel syndrome.
